Enchanted Forest

I struggled with this one a bit. The owner wanted the downstairs to be a forest with red hues, then the upstairs to be like a cave with blue hues. I had a bit of trouble figuring out how I wanted to go about it. They didn’t want the two floors to be separated but connected. Which is what added a bit more of a challenge to it since then that would mean the sky throughout would have to be the same color. Whereas my idea was to have two different sky colors and have the areas separated from each other.

I ended up thinking of playing with the lighting to portray the color differences between the floors. Using warm colors downstairs and cooler colors upstairs. There weren’t a whole lot of plants I could use to make it look warmer downstairs other than the cherry tree, but I wanted more variety with trees, so I decided to use more than just that. I’ve wanted to try making a forest, so I was happy to try this out!

The upstairs is my favorite part about the build. Especially the campfire area. It was a last-minute decision. I wasn’t going to add it but then I was like I could build over the stairs more to add more space. And I’m very happy I did because it adds more to the space, I think. It reminds me of something you’d see in an adventure anime when they show a camping scene!

I really enjoyed creating this! I love outdoor themes a lot, so I’m always happy to see requests for them. They challenge my brain in many ways.
