It has been so long since I've worked on a small! I was very concerned about my slot management for this entire build because I've been spoiled with medium houses lately lol I was excited to work on a tavern theme though. The last one I had was the Meadhall I did a while back. And since then, there have been quite a few items that fit within that theme that I've wanted to use. I was trying to go for a more rustic looking tavern at first, but then it ended up feeling like an extension of my Atherial Guild Hall build. That was mostly due to the window shape I wanted to use. I wanted a large arch for them so the sharlayan table and fortemps fireplace combo was the best choice for it. Since they are marble though, it ended up resulting in the rest of the build having to look a bit more elegant than rustic. But it was fine because I got to create such a nice fireplace! I was on the fence about the fireplace for so long. I couldn't make up my mind about if it felt out of place or not, but it grew on me. I really like how the items blend together.

By the time I got to the downstairs I only had about 70 slots left, and I still needed to add clutter and lighting to both floors, so I had to think of slot efficient ideas for the downstairs. It was very rough on my brain! I knew it was going to be a study, but I wasn't sure how to make it blend well with the upstairs for quite some time. Also, since the upstairs took up a lot more space than I was anticipating, the room downstairs had to be smaller. So, I wanted to make sure that the room didn't feel small either. Making the floor plan have to be more open when previously I wanted to make the room closed off with some levels to it. Even though I ended up having to cut down on a lot of ideas for the downstairs, I think it fits very well with the overall look of it. Gives off just as much elegance as the upstairs I think!
